The first picture is of a friend, the second is one I snapped really quickly of my sister (left) and a friend she was playing with. It was so cute to watch them!

A couple of days at the beach

The first day was quite rainy, but I got some fun pictures:

Here there are fishermen doing some crabbing.

 The fog was really neat. Unfortunatly I wasn't able to catch all of it's glory.

The neatest buggy showed up!

The horses were beautiful.

The second day was sunshiny! We walked for about 1 hour up and down the beach.

 I decided to play with highlights. I really like it!

 I loved the sand and shells!

My sisters were great subjects...

...willing to climb a hill just for a few pictures.

For those of you who have gone wind sailing, this is what you look like from underneath. Just thought you'd like to know!

My first try at Night photography

I really don't know much about photographing the sky, but I want to learn more!  I don't have any special equipment. I used a "cliff-jumper" tripod on everything but the moon. I REALLY WANT a shutter release cable...and I need to study more about what kind of lens(es) I should use.

I hope to be able to purchase those things sometime and post my progress! So here is the first of many tries:

 The moon...(1/400, f/5.6, ISO 3200)

Trees and Stars... (30 sec, f/5.6, ISO 400)

 The big dipper...(20 sec, f/5.6, ISO 400)

Movement of the stars...(41 sec, f/5.6, ISO 400)

All things bright and beautiful...The Lord God made them all

This afternoon I decided it was time to try some more macro...I was reminded of how much I would like a macro lens. Holding the lens on backwards is so hard, especially when it is windy!

(Not macro - just telephoto lens) This is one of my favorite flowers. It is about the size of a small sand-dollar, and packed with color!

This is a variety of Yarrow. The flowers are pretty tiny...

 And this is the center of one of them.

We have some gorgeous lilies growing in our front yard.
